The Institute of Medical Science of Shanghai Jiao-Tong University is seeking one research associate to join Professor Dengli Hong’s research group in the medical stem cell laboratory. The appointment will be full time. The salary is negotiable according to the regulations of the university and Shanghai governments. And the post is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the National Basic Research Program of China.
Professor Hong’s group is interested in exploring the clonal evolution of stem cells within hematopoietic and leukemic niches and understanding the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms, with an aim of developing new strategies that can be used for the prevention of and therapeutic intervention against leukemia. You are expected to have a PhD or MD degree in biology or medicine and two-year postdoctoral experience at least, a strong interest in conducting collaborative research and a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. The tasks will require creativity, perseverance, hands-on laboratory skills, as well as communication and team-working skills for this inter-disciplinary project.
